Logging
There are four applicable areas within the forestry industry: Logging, Hauling, Wood Yard & Saw Mills.
L.E. has great experience within each of these four primary areas. Modern tree-farming practices on both company-owned and private woodlands, in concert with the use of saw mill slabs and edgings, and the use of more hardwood means their future is a positive one. Some trees, thought valueless for the production of paper and/or allied wood products just a few years ago, are now being used. The resultant fruits of research and technical innovation are, in part, responsible. Portions of trees once left in forests after logging, and wood scrap once burned as waste in lumber manufacture, are now converted to paper and other pulp products. Some pulp mills operate entirely on chipped wood left over from nearby mills and saw mills, so not one additional tree need be harvested to supply them. L.E. products and services are uniquely geared for all aspects of the industry tied into true production.
Environmental issues continue to rise to the forefront in the forestry and wood product industries. The industry will continue to work closely with the EPA in the preparation and eventual promulgation of both clean air and water quality standards, rules and regulations. Here also L.E. products and services offer user benefits that far outperform those offered by our competitors.
An excellent example of this is the introduction of the LOW TOX line of L.E. hydraulic & turbine oils.
Equipment used in these industries has been modified and improved in design for greater efficiency. These higher production rates impose even greater demands on the lubricants because higher speeds, greater loading, and longer operation are key factors in achieving the increase. The result is an ever increasing need for high quality, high performance L.E. lubricants.
Lubricants used in the forestry and wood products industries must be able to withstand abrasive and corrosive contaminants such as fine saw dust, moisture, hot and cold operating environments, acids and caustics. Heavy loading and high speed operation place still greater demands on the lubricants. L.E. lubricants are formulated to operate in these severe environments with unprecedented performance levels.
High quality, high performance L.E. lubricants are engineered to handle moisture, heat and high loads and perform when other conventional or specialty lubricants fall short, or provide short-lived or ineffective operation.
All L.E. lubricants are designed to be environmentally friendly while prolonging equipment life, reducing downtime as well as generating more profit-generating uptime. The cost-effectiveness of L.E. lubricants is second to none!
